Case Study: Concierge Security

Client: University

Founded on principles of excellence, equality and opportunity for all, the University started in the 1960’s with just 230 students. Since then it has become one of the world’s leading universities, carving out a reputation as an academic powerhouse where a clear focus on excellence has secured national and international recognition alongside longer established institutions. 

What is the Project?

A City Centre campus which is a collection of Grade II listed buildings originally dating from c.1270 but substantially rebuilt in the late 15th century. It has now been occupied by the University and is currently used by the departments of Archaeology, Medieval Studies and Eighteenth-Century Studies. The University rent the site and as part of the rental agreement, the University has to allow public access to much of the grounds and some of the buildings.

What does the Client require from us?

Assured security for their building, 1^st Responders to incidents and first point of contact for the Campus.

What Solutions can/did we offer?

We conducted a full on sire survey and offered a complerte bespoke Concierge Security Role, offering a single point of contact for the campus welcoming members of the public, staff students and visitors to the University. Offering first response to incidents and offering concierge services for the campus. Conducting regular and random patrols to ensure the security of the premises.

What was the result when solutions were implemented?

In the first 12 months there was a 93.7% reduction in criminal incidents, improved access control across this campus. The role developed to include car park management.
